In Amy’s comments after her first run she voices a dilemma
that all actor’s run into. “It’s hard to consciously let yourself unconsciously
reach that point…” She is essentially questioning how do you structure what is
supposed to be unconscious action.
For her second run I have her use me as her visual mark to
see if she notices any difference in he overall feel of her performance.
Looking at me bumps up the intensity of her contact. In the third run she’s
looking at the visual make and not me, but she is able to maintain the same
level of contact as she did in the previous run.
I suggest in the next run that she stand with her back to
the camera and perform the monologue to see how things change. You’ll be able
to see the result in Episode #11.
